The soft black outline created all the drama on this guy! I've always used some sort of outline. Henry Faulkner's paintings reinforced my use of this technique in my paintings, and keep experimenting with ways to do it. I used the edge of my favorite palette knife for this outline... but then I used my finger to soften the hard line, and fell in love with the effect.

And how could I ever teach my "technique" when so much of it is spraying it with water and scraping off what I don't like until I discover the wonderful crazy remains of all the wonderful colors?!
